    Hello,

I posted below about a project I am helping coordinate but I just wanted to start a new for some questions about GlueTools / Phantom workflow.

A friend suggested using this plugin and I just wanted to check if there is an alternative to spending $800 on a this software before I purchase just for this one project…

    thanks
    sean

You can have all the files converted after capture to DPX or Tiff stacks with the control laptop, This is a secondary step that will( should) incur labor charges and possibly additional drives.

If all you have are the .Cine files it is the GlueTools plugin or Iridas’s Speedgrade Onset.

Hey Thanks for the reply Gary!

wish I had known to tell them to make tiff sequences – we had worked with these guys before and they made dvcpro tapes which seemed pointless so I just figured to tell them to give us the raw files so we could have the highest quality stuff.

anyways if you or anyone else has thoughts beyond this please feel free.

    thank you.

If you have the .cine files, you should be able to do the conversions yourself with the Phantom software.
