  • Is There Full Screen Preview in FC7?

Posted by John Willis on August 14, 2009 at 4:17 pm

    Hi Guys,

I use to be able to do full screen preview by checking Digital Cinema Desktop Preview under view and then just hit the ‘Y’ key for full screen display…but this does not work with the new FC7.

    Any suggestions?

Y? Y is like the ONE un-assigned FCP key on the keyboard. CMD-F12 usually does this, or VIEW>EXTERNAL>ALL FRAMES.

    Thanks Shane,

The view all frames worked. But on the new Mac Pro Command F12 doesn’t…it just raises the volume. I think the guys in One to One training at the Apple Store assigned the full screen command to the Y key when I bought the computer.

System Preferences>Keyboard. Check on F1-F12 otherwise you do not have the most fundamental keyboard shortcuts used in Final Cut.

    All the best,

    Tom
