My new Plugins are not working!!!
I just downloaded some new plugins for FCP and everything installed successfully. I got the prompt on the screen that said so. I opened FCP and I saw my new plugins listed in the effects tab. I dragged one down to the time line onto a clip and rendered it out. When I played it back, I get a full screen watermark from the company that makes the plugin! Again the plugins ARE successfully installed. My plugin expires in 2011. This is NOT an expired trial version. The folder is in my Applications and not in my plugins folder.
I tried dragging them to my Plugins folder to see if that was the problem and then opened FCP back up and it deleted all of them so I dragged them back to my applications folder and opened FCP back up and they have returned.
I double clicked on the transition and the plugins parameters showed up for that plugin effect and i could adjust various settings. However the effect is still a black full screen water mark with the company’s name.
I cannot get these plugins to work for nothing. They are compatible with Intel and PPC machines. I have a PPC G5. I am running Leopard 10.5.8 and FCP 6 all of which are compatible according to their system requirements.

You need to contact the company you bought the plugin. Its not an issue with FCP, unless you have installed FCS3. There may be some issues with plugins for a while until they all come to speed.

Do you happen to have those same plugins installed on another one of your systems? I don’t believe Genarts allows you to do this.
