  Help with Offline HD footage Restoring

  I have RToffline HD files sent to me on DVDs with Roxio Restore on them.

  I have tried 3 times on 2 different drives to restore the footage. First, the footage restores successfully, then I open the FCP project file which has a folder in it titled, “footage.” This footage will not reconnect all at once; it will only go one at a time (and there are 650 files).
  So, instead, I imported the media folder from my hard drive into the FCP project. This footage appears fine at first. Once I disconnect my hard drive and reconnect it, all of that footage goes offline in random bits. What is going on here?!

  I’ve never worked with HD footage before, so I could be missing something regarding those settings. I’ve also never worked with offline footage. Or, could it be something with my hard drives? I’ve tried two different drives. What other settings could I be missing?

  This is my absolute last resort, please somebody help me!!
