Right-click on the sequence in the Browser and apply a label. The tab in Timeline and the Canvas will be colored.

Close other tabs. Another simple but excellent feature in the new version.

    All the best,

    Tom

In the browser window, if you label your sequence a particular color, the tab in the timeline window will show up as green, purple, etc.

I’ve actually been working with color labels like this for a few days and it’s pretty handy. I daresay my favorite new little feature is being able to select a clip in the timeline, do a Command T and have it do the default transition at both ends of the clip (same for command option T for audio transitions). Amazingly useful for graphics.

Thanks Tom and Nicole. I’m glad it’s so straightforward! 🙂

Nicole, Command T is the best feature for me so far! Thanks for pointing it out to us. The programs that I produce have a ton of lower third graphics. This ought to considerably speed up my editing.

It would be great if those color-coded tabs would transfer to the tabs in the Browser window. I will have 16 projects open at once and it will be hard to read the titles in the browser window.

Anyone know of a way to match tab colors from the Timeline to the Browser window?
