I’be only recently converted from Avid to FCP. I just shot some footage in HDV 1080 50i on the Sony Z7.
Pulled it into FCP Studio 2 at HDV 1080 50i capture mode and made the rough cut.
Once the edit was done, I graded it in Magic Bullet to get a nice grade and re-rendered the finished timeline as a Pro Res 22 HQ sequence (1440 * 1080).

While the colors look great, but when the edit plays (sequence viewer expanded to 100%) unfortunately the edges in the video are jagged. They look perfectly fine when in a pause/still mode.
Everything seems to have rendered ok, so I don’t know what I need to do further.
I need to encode this for an internet video upload tonight. Please advise how I get the image looking crisp and without the edges.
    Thanks!

What you see in the Canvas is set as per the ‘RT popup’ settings on the left of the timeline.
Set it to ‘High’ and the timeline will play back High quality or full quality.
