FCP Audio outputs
Forgive me if this has been posted before. Does anyone know a good way to verify that a sequence audio outputs are routed to the proper channels. Meaning- on file export- tracks 7/8 are routed to 7/8- not 1/2, etc. The only way i can tell to do this is the right click in track assignments window. I know the same function exist in the audio mixer, it just means you have to select all 8 tracks everytime you are exporting a file. I work at a shop where every sequence is exported split track as a QT and we are always making mistakes. Someone will export an 8 track sequence with info only on 1/2 and 3 and 7 because they didn’t route the audio outputs properly. I hope this makes sense. We export about 50-100 files a day from 2 stereo tracks to 8 tracks mono. Any suggestions or tips? thanks in advance, Sean

Every easy setup has standard sequence settings. So when you select an easy setup and do file > new sequence, you get a sequence with settings saved in that setup. So if you create a new easy setup where the sequence settings are for an 8 track sequence all dual mono and set up audio as 1 > 1, 2 > 2 and so on, you’ll always have a new sequence with the correct settings.
