I feel like a doofus asking this, because I’ve done it before and just can’t remember how I did it.
What I am trying to do is export a path from Photoshop 7.0 into After Effects 5.5 to use it as position keyframes. Specificly what I’m after is I create a piece of text in photoshop, export the path into AE, then use the path as one end of a lightning stroke. Combined with a mask, It gives the effect of the lightning stroke ‘writing’ the text. I know I learned how to do it as a tutorial on the web, but cannot find it or remember the trick to making the path into the position keyframes for the life of me.
    Any assistance would be appreciated.

Nevermind, I figured it out. I was using the wrong path selection tool.
