Hi, I’m using Composite Mode > Travel Matte – Luma on a black&white matte-movie to control the alpha of the video on the layer below it. The alpha channel works, but the video becomes black and white. How can I get my product to remain in color? After the matte video is finished, the video goes back into color….

    Thanks in advance.

You actually want to apply the Travel Matte – Luma composite mode to the fill on Layer 3. Matte on Layer 2. Plate on Layer 1.

Perfect, thank you. I reversed the order of the layers. Solved.

No worries, it always throws me for a loop especially jumping between after effects and FCP.
