  use sharing older to share media

  I have three edit stations on the same network
  do you think it is a good idea to use the file sharing folder for one station to access the other and share media and other files?

  There’s no reason for you not to use the network to share files. You can certainly copy files from one mac to another.

  If you want to edit on one mac with media on another over the network, though, you’ll probably need to use something faster than your existing network, and you may need to work with compressed codecs like DVCPro HD, XDCam or ProRes
