  bluescreen and subject size

  Hi there. I was having a bit of a dilemna in getting a nice detailed shot of the full body of my bluescreen subject.
  I use a sony pd150 camera and to fit a whole body into my bluescreen set. I have to move back about 4 meters just to fit a tall person in the screen. I don’t think the lense is changable or is there another lense for the pd 150? Any ideas? Think I’ll try shooting sideways!

  The PD150 does progressive scan, so shooting sideways is definitely a good option. I do it fairly often with our HVX200. Just make sure to shoot progressive so you don’t have to contend with interlacing issues, and whatever you do, DO NOT shoot in widescreen mode unless your camera has native 16:9 chips which the PD150 does not. For most cameras without native 16:9 chips widescreen mode simply stretches the image, which will cause major problems when it comes time to extract your key.
