  is there a way to match audio to video that’s been speed ramped or time remapped?

  first time posting, thanks to anyone who can help.

  I’m using the Twixtor plug in to remap the speed of video that was shot on an HVX in 720p60p mode. I use dvcproHD converter in final cut to convert the 60p footage to 24p first. This way I have slomo footage along with sound to work with.

  I’m ramping the speed of the video with twixtor and i’m looking for a way to match the sound. Time remapping might be a better term. any ideas?

  This will distort the pitch of the sound. You can normally get again with +-10% with audio software that retains pitch but much more than that your are going to set that slow, deep voice. But STP can do it.

  The other option is also to change the pitch up or down depending on whether you slow or speed up the footage. I know Pro Tools will do that. My guess is you can also do it in Soundtrack Pro, too. Try a search in the Apple Soundtrack forum and see what pops up.

  Thanks guys. I will get into soundtrack pro and figure it out. the pitch doesn’t matter so much to me as I’m dealing with action sports footage and the change in pitch sort of adds to the effect when the footage is being ramped down to slow then ramped back up.
