We have a couple of our edit suites suffering from regular crashes. The other 6 on our SAN system are running fine without these errors. I am just wondering if there is a common link between the following:-

    a) Dragging a clip from source window to Bin/Log caused a crash to desktop with the following message:- ” The App Final Cut Pro quit unexpectedly. The problem is caused by the KG Core Plug In”

    b) Scrolling the timeline (2 projects open & some time mapping on clips x 10000%) with the following message:- “FCP has quit unexpectedly – The problem may have been caused by the AJA Video Output Plug-In”

    c) Opening another project caused a crash to desktop with the message:- “FCP has unexpectedly stopped working”

I expect crashes on occasion but these same ones seem to cropping up regularly and as I said I am looking to see if there is a common link somewhere that I am missing.

    Hi Andy,
Whenever I have problems with FC I start by optimizing my system and HDs: DiskWarrior, TechTools or similar.
If the problems remains, then I start to see if there is something wrong with FC: Reinstalling the last update, drivers, trashing preferences or whatever.
