  Can’t import .mxf clips from Panasonic P2 Camera into Final Cut Pro

  We had another videographer shoot some footage for us, I believe, on a Panasonic P2 Camera. He copied the footage from the P2 Cards to a hard drive and he sent the hard drive back me to edit. However, I can’t import the .mxf files into Final Cut Pro. They all have a little “lock” symbol on the clips.

  I’m running Final Cut Pro 6.0.5 on a Power Mac G5 v 10.5.7. I just got off the phone with the guy who shot the footage and he doesn’t know what to do. How can I import this footage?

  Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
