  FCP 6.0.5 quits when browsing files

  hi all

  we have just bought an XDCAM EX3 at work and almost everytime I browse clips in the browser FCP quits!

  has anyone else seen this issue? and if yes is there a known bug (and fix)?

  Hi jamil,
  i work with EX-1 footage with my MBP and with an old G5 and don’t have such a problems.
  What kind kind of maintenance do you make to your MP?
  Do you use any kind of applications to rebuild directories (DiskWarrior, TehTools,..)?

  Hi Rafael

  I have rebuilt the RAID, this didnt’ work. Then I moved the data to another Volume and turned the RAID off.

  I have trashed prefs and user data. I have exported the XML and rebuilt the project.

  The only thing I haven’t done is re-import the footage as I deleted the original footage from the card. (in case of file corruption)

  I will run Disk Utility next on the system partition.

  What means this of “System Partition”?
  You don’t have a partition in your main HD, don’t you?
