  Putting HD in an SD sequence HELP!!

  Hello All, I am trying to put a 1920 x 1080i video into an SD 480i x 720 sequence. When I put the HD video into the SD sequence it looks very «interlaced» ther is some text and it comes out terrible. I forgot what the word is but it seems that the pixels are miss aligned.. «sort of like a stair case»…

  Any help would be very much appreciated!!

  You are swapping fields, HD interlace is Upper first, SD is Lower first. Run your footage through Compressor for a cleaner down convert. Turn on Frame Control.

  For a quick fix you can try applying a Shift Fields filter to your HD footage in the sequence.

  ALSO: ****The HD (1920×1080) is 24 fps (or 23.97 ?) and the SD sequence (480i) is 29.97…

  does this contribute to the problem?
