Can FCP Viewer of Multiclip be burned onto a DVD?
I have all the clips synced up and in multiclip format in FCP 6.0. Is there a way to be able to burn a video/dvd of the multiclips as shown in the Viewer? Does that make sense? So, my ultimate goal is to basically to burn medium/low-quality DVD where you can watch all multiclips at the same time for preview. Is that possible?

you can play it out to tape, then crash record it. Capture the tape and make your DVD.

A simpler way would be to play it out to a stand alone DVD recorder rather then tape, but obviously you would need to have one.

This is funny. There really isn’t anything simpler than going to tape. What you do after you have the tape might get complicated but tape is still the lowest common denominator.

Why not just build this in your sequence and export? Seems more simple than hooking up hardware.

You could use screen capture software like SnapProZ. It captures Quicktime files that can be burned to DVD. Prep your multi-cam in the viewer, start SnapProZ and fit frame around your viewer, push play on the viewer and record your clip. Take your SnapProZ clip into compressor and convert to MPEG2 for DVD.
