converting 16:9 into 3:2 dv format
Hi,
Hope this is the right place to find useful ideas to my problem.
Basically what I need to do is to convert a HDV file into a 3:2 dv mov file.
What I did was that I have made a primary conversion in dv anamorphic (16:9) and set the sequence settings like 720×480 Ntsc Dv (3:2), Pixel aspect ratio Ntsc-CCIR 601/DV (720×480), unchecked anamorphic, etc… And there it was, the canvas with my movie with the aspect ratio I wanted. When I wanted to get a proper mov file I couldn’t create one. First I have tried with the compressor, but in dv definitions (standard or anamorphic) the only aspect ratios are 4:3 or 16:9, then I went to try with QuickTime Conversions, but unfortunately I was there facing the same problem, aspect ratio 4:3 or 16:9.
I have tried with other formats like H.264 and it came out perfect, but it’s not DV/DVCPRO Ntsc…..So, this is my problem, hope someone can help me solving it….
Thanks
T.
