Timecode Help FCP6 and HVX200 !
Hello,
I’m sorry if someone has asked this before but here it is,
I just finished filming a Feature Length on the Panasonic HVX200 in NTSC 24p (not 24p advanced), standard def not HD. I shot to dv tape as back up but used a firestore FS4HD to as primary means of capture. I’ve cleared the timecode when first started filming back to all 0’s and over a two month period and several tapes, only changed the first number of the TC ONLY… when switching tapes. (example: 00:00:00:00 – 01:00:00:00 – 02:00:00:00 and so on.) That is the only change to the TC I’ve made. I never reviewed the footage until in was imported into FCP.My problem… when all the footage was imported to FCP6 for editing, each of the clips TC starts at 00:00:00:00. But on the tapes, Firestore and when played in the camera all show the correct ascending TC. Why am I not getting the correct TC in FCP6. I’ve tried the TCR and TCG but can’t see the TC as it was burned to the tapes. Can anyone help me out with this.
I’m new to the HVX200 but started out using a DVX100 so I know my way around the HVX for the most part. I’ve been using FCP for over 7 years so I really do know what is happening.PLEASE HELP!!
Thank for any help.
Brian
