  Soundtrack pro Audio Problem

  Guys i am trying to reduce background noise and need to (course instruction) to ‘send the file’ to Soundtrack Pro Audio File Project. While i click “send to” the Soundtrack Pro Audio File Project option does not appear as highlighted (as in, a choice i can make). However, Multitack Project and Soundtrack Pro Script do appear as highlighted in the menu.

  Any idea what changes i need to make to my settings to be able to get into Soundtrack Pro Audio?

  Glenn,

  Select the audio track segment in the FCP timeline and Right Click on it.

  You’ll see the option that you are looking for

  You need to be selecting the clip in a SEQUENCE. If you are selecting a clip in a bin or the viewer it won’t work…is that what you are doing ?

  If you want to do this with a clip not currently edited into a sequence, just open it directly in STP.

  the clip IS in a sequence which is all ready now just for the audio part and i’m stuck. I also tried it on a different sequence and on seperate clips too – jut to check..same result.
  Was wondering..if Soundtrack Pro part of FCP software? Could it be that it may not have been installed while i was installing FCP? Is it ABSOLUTELY necessary (if yr experience) to you use Soundtrack Pro//can’t i get the job don by FCP Audio tools?
