    Hello

So I need to make a bunch of far off buldings crumble and fall apart. I want to do this as cheaply as possible and I want to avoid using a 3d app. I have a plate….and basically, I want an effect like the layer exploder in partical playground. I would isolate the buildings I want to disintigrate…and and set the effect on this layer. I would use particle playground but it seems like a slow piece of crap. It takes forever to render a frame and my machine is no slouch….it should be able to handle the job

Im thinking maybe Trapcode particular….but what I want doesnt seem to be possible. I want to use the RGB info of the original source to color the particles. Maybe some of you gurus know if this is a possiblity. I have a script for Fusion that kinda does what I need, but I really dont wanna have to use two comping packages to do this….especially when I know it must be possible in AE

    Anyone have any ideas

    C
