    Hi,

I’ve been using Silhouette Roto to make masks in AE – and it’s such a pleasure compared to doing it ‘natively’. Even for basic masks, I’ll switch to Silhouette, make the masks, export them to AE, then turn the Silhouette effect off – leaving the masks free to manipulate in AE.

This may seem like a few extra steps but once you feel how quick and flowing it is to create masks in Silhouette you won’t want to go back. Promise.

Anyway, that said… I’m having a weird problem lately.

I’m trying to paste a mask, created in Silhouette, from one clip to another. Usually, this works fine. But, for some unknown reason, when I try to do it now my masks paste ‘further up the timeline’.

If I manually drag them back down to where they should be pasting in, they’re all out of whack – as if the anchor point has shifted. Basically, it’s impossible to use the masks unless I go through each individual one and reposition them.

Anyone know why this is happening and how I can fix it?

    Thanks in advance,

    ALEX
