    Looking into building a new editing workstation at the office. First, my company has an exclusive deal with Dell because we buy thousands of machines across the country, so manufacturer is not negotiable. I’m looking at a Precision 690 machine and have a question about hard drive options. With dual internal drives for OS and media, respectively, should I look at this 500GB SATA 3.0Gb/s,7200 RPM Hard Drive with 16MB DataBurst Cache

    I would get total 3 drives, 10K rpm for OS/program installtion. 2nd for capture, 3rd for scratch\output files. 7200rpm Drive will be fine as 2nd and third drives, so buy the bigeest size you can afford.
