  adding motion to nested comps

  Hello,

  I can’t find this in the help manual anywhere. How do I get to the motion tab of a nested sequence? If I double click a nested seq…it opens that sequence. I can grab the *clip* in the canvas and move it around and scale it…but how do I control it via keyframes?

  Option double-click to load the nest into the viewer. Then adjust parameters in the Motion tab as needed.

  The only mention of this in the manual is in the section about avoiding nested seq’s for EDL exporting. Sometimes I wonder how Final Cut can be so powerful in so many ways…but miss some really basic things like this. Motion on nested sequences…kind of a big deal I would think! Maybe it should be in the manual under…I don’t know…nested sequences?

  you can also try highlighting the nest (click on it) and press Return. I don’t think it is a special keyboard setting, It just worked like that on my keyboard since FCP 6. Should also work to open a regular un-nested clip.
