not really, just onstage, but i’m trying to recreate the heart monitor so i the audience can see it befor eit flatlines.
I’ve spent a fortune on video backgrounds and recently particle illusion but i can’t seem to recreate this thing.
Help!I used to spend my time wondering, now it’s all used up rendering.

damn, I thought someone needed my services !
IF you are using a real EKG unit, these companies all have emulation software that will playback typical EKG patterns for training. Simply stop the software, and you will get the “flat line” on the EKG display.If you are not using a real EKG unit, and using a TV monitor, please state what hardware you have available to you to playback an image (like a PC, MAC, etc.).

What’s EKG?
I’m using a Powermac G5 with a samsung syncmaster monitor for playback.
currently using FCP 4HD.I used to spend my time wondering, now it’s all used up rendering.

After Effects>Vegas. Easy-peesy. You just need a vector line that represents the trace. You’ll need one application of Vegas for each line or a separate layer for each line depending on how well you understand Vegas.
This is far easier to simply shoot off a monitor.

You could post on Mandy (lo/no/deferred position) asking for someone willing to have their heart stopped. Indie film people love doing crazy stuff for no money.

You can do it very easily in Motion. Just need draw a path and use the Replicators.

ok, i didn’t know what EKG was, and as i said, i’m using FCP not Vegas but thanks guys, i’ll get right on it, as for “Do your Homework” Cheeky!
