  Why does my multi clip runs slow when using it.

  I have a g5 quad
  WD 250 external HD
  x1900 video card

  What is the problem?

  I’m a newbie

  [curtis anders] “WD 250 external HD” this would be my first thought.

  Need to know how many streams and what codec you are using. An external FW is probably only going to let you do a 2-3 of DV video stream at best.

  I heard its best to keep the footage on a external drive, is that wrong?
