  Compressor not working?

  I do not know why, but I have used this in the past and all of a sudden it is currently not working:

  on the programs bar it has a ? on the icon, when i try to use compressor with exporting it states it is not properly installed?

  how do i make this run again? Help!

  You may have accidently deleted it… i did the same with Color a while back.. get your FCP install disks out and do a cutsom install of just Compresor, that should do it

  If is not properly installed there is only one think to do: Install it properly.
  Try installing the last version you had or update it through Software Update.
  If the problems persists you will need un-install and reinstall again.
  Try an application call “Compressor Repair” (Google).

  I’m having problems with Compressor today as well. I suspect because I accepted some updates before leaving last night. They seemed harmless. They always do! Anyway, I can open Compressor but when I select a file to encode it bogs down and eventually I have to force quit.

  I guess I’ll try re-installing. any other ideas?
