  slowing down sound without changing pitch

  Does FCP have the capability to slow down sound but not change its pitch like avid does? Or does anyone have any suggestions on how I might achieve this??

  You do this in Soundtrack Pro, the audio app that is part of Final Cut Studio.

  Use the time stretch function.
