  XDCAM EX -> After Effects -> Final Cut workflow

  When I have a sequence in Final Cut using the EX codec…I’ve been using the ProRes codec for renders out of After Effects, but we seem to have some issues with playback…it’s not consistent in Final Cut. Is that an appropriate workflow? Anyone else using this process? Advice?

  We convert all EX footage to ProRes during ingest. AE renders in ProRes are a non-issue here.
