DVCProHD 108024P – Digibeta Tape….any tricks/settings
..I need to generate a Digibeta Tape from a DVCProHD 108024P timeline….a feature that has found a distributor!!! I have rendered a 10bit uncompressed movie, but do I need to do more? I know there are some settings/tricks to make this a success….mostly it’s the 24P thing that has me wondering….I also know I can set the pulldown in the settings, but I believe this only effects the firewire output (right?!?) not an SDI Out…..I’d appreciate any advice.

…the dupe house has a kona 2 card…the tech was unaware of any settings he would need to look at…he seemed to think that the kona 2 card would follow the FCP settings and, of course, add the pulldown….should I be concerned??!??!

You should be very concerned if the “tech” doesn’t know what the equipment does or how to do it. That sounds like a recipe for failure to me.
BTW, the Kona 2 can both downconvert and add pulldown for you on the fly.
