HDV to DVD SOftware, hardware encoding, need advice
Hello! I m working with hdv and just want my sd DVD to look as best as possible. I ve tried different workflows but none offered the best possible solution, except Compresor with the frame controls set to ON and averything put on best. The only major disadvantage is the hugeeeeee render time. Can you please recomand me a hardware based solution, cheap as possible of course? Or another software solution? I mworking in compressed hdv.
Tried the nesting method. Works very good for movement of the picture but offers poor resolution.
Mpeg streamclip. Very good movement, even poor resolution. very speedy altough.
Compressor with frame control set on, BEST at RESIZE FILTER, BETTER at deinterlace, GOOD resolution, but slighty strobo movement of the image.

VERYY long render times(even with the 8 cores enabled).Can i work in compressed hdv and using one hardware solution only to convert HD to SD while keeping a very good quality? Black magic, AJA, which one.
I have read a lot of very useful posts about this theme(HD to SD) tried all of them(except hardware based downconversion) but none offered me the quality that i want, maybe a little bit inferior to the quality offered by shooting in sd directly.I m using sony fz1 and an 8 core mac, 8 gigs of ram and fcp 6.0.4
