  How to keep the aspect ratio when burning?

  Hi everybody,
  I’ve just tried to burn my 17,6 GB .mov export file unto a DVD via ROXIO.
  Roxio did not recognized my 1024×576 proportions but actually resized the file into 720×576.

  I was using roxio because I didn’t want to have to go through the whole Compressor to compress my .mov file.
  Question: Can I fix this problem with Roxio?
  Do I have to use Dvd studio pro or Idvd?
  How can I fix this problem with those?

  Any help more than welcomed

  If you are making a DVD, use compressor to make a m2v and ac3 file. Use DVDSP to make your DVD. Build your DVD in DVDSP. Use Roxio Toast to burn your DVD.

  720 x 576 is the correct frame size for PAL standard def. By creating a 1024 x 576 quicktime, you have a file that will correctly display as 16:9 on a computer.

  A PAL DVD requires 720 x 576 so Roxio is correctly changing the file back to anamorphic. If you want a decent DVD, you are better off making an mpeg2 file in Compressor, maintaining the correct anamorphic ratio.
