  • FCP compression export — picture edit does not match

One part of my picture edit in my FCP timeline is different when I export (this has happened with multiple file formats now). Specifically, I am seeing the same picture length, just a later in/out from the original logged/captured picture. I have no idea what the problem is or how to fix it though b/c I see exactly what I want to in the timeline. Anyone else have this problem or have ideas as to what it could be and how I could address it?

    Export to what?

Try this, export a self-contained movie using the sequence settings.
View it, Is it okay? If so, take it to Compressor. If not, post back

I exported straight to compressor for an mpeg-2. Then burned in DVDSP. All picture came out exactly they way I wanted except for this 1 clip, which starts at a later timecode (from the log/capture) in the exported file than is showing in the FCP timeline…? I want what is showing in the timeline. Does this help clear things up at all?
