  Control surfaces and FCP

  Hi all,

  I’ve been using a Yamaha 01V in my setup for some time now – basically as a glorified amp control as most all of my ingest is done digitally now. I’m sure many of you are in the same boat…

  Anyway, I’ve sold the 01V to someone who will use it as a mixer, and I intend to replace with one of the new breed of mixer/DAW controllers like the Tascem FW1082 or maybe a secondhand Yamaha 01X. Anyone have any experience with this type of kit? What works well with FCP? I’m looking for something to control monitoring from FCP, enable live mixing within FCP and have at least one mic in for VO recording…
