  Kona board to convert XDCAM footage?

  I’ve got footage that was shot 1080p24 on a Sony XDCAM, and I’ve been using the XDCAM transfer software to get the clips onto the Mac, and then ultimately use Compressor to convert the clips to 29.97. Compressor does an ok job with it, but would I be better off using the Kona to do my framerate conversion? Is it even possible to send the SxS card data off to the Kona for such a conversion? Everything I’ve read so far on the forums speaks of either going from the camera or deck to the Kona for conversion.
