  Text brightening picture on export?

  Hey guys,

  I captured a digibeta using a BlackMagic HD Extreme capture card at ProRes 422, and when I add my text chyron using FCP, it brightens the picture when the text is on screen after export, but not in the project. Exported using “Quicktime movie” with current settings (ProRes 422). Never had this problem before, but we just got the BlackMagic Capture card so there may be something I’m missing. Right now I’m exporting a deinterlaced 422 with compressor, so we will see what happens there. Any ideas?

  EDIT: So I precomped the cut, then added the text, and now there is no problem. Anyone know what’s going on?

  Mac Pro 2×3.2 GHz Quad-core
  16 GB RAM
  4 TB raid
  500 GB Lacie Rugged External
  FCP Studio 2 v. 6.0.5
