  YUV vs RGB Timeline options

  I’m working in a HDV converted to DVCPROHD timeline project for a cable network show. What are the differences/plus’/minus’ between rendering in YUV, and rendering in RGB?

  The “plus” of YUV is that you’re working with YUV media. There is no “minus”. The “minus” of RGB is that you’re working with YUV media. There is no “plus”.

  Having the wrong settings will mean that you will have gamma shifts every time you add a transition or filter.
