I wish I knew what I was doing, but this is all so new to me. I managed to create a 31 minute video using my still and morphed images, and it plays in FCP wonderfully. I want HD, so my sequence settings are 1080i. Now I am exporting as a Quick Time movie using the same settings, and the progress window is now telling me it will take 5 DAYS to do this! Unbelievable! I have a Mac Pro, running OS 10.5.6. Can this 5 day export be right? When I check my Activity Monitor the CPU shows almost 50% inactivity(should it be more?), and there is something at the Activity Monitor in the Process Name column called the Compressor Transcoder that is shown in red as Not Responding. Could this be related to that incredibly slow 5 day export time? If so, how does one get correct this. This all seems so unreal! Am I doing something wrong? Should I try and learn to use the Compressor program, could that help?
