I’m looking for a way to have chart easily in to FCP.

Today we type the numbers in Excels, where there are 4 pre-defined charts, those chart do we open in Illustrator to prepare them to look properly on TV, and then they are exported to Photoshop that makes a TGA-file. It looks VERY good, but it takes time.

Are there some software, or something, that will make it easier to work with ?

Charts require careful design in order to work well and to be legible on television. Using Excel and Powerpoint are certain ways to get terrible charts for two reasons: the graphics were never intended to be shown as rasterized pixels and the presets are, for the most part, stupid and lame designs that ignore all information display paradigms (see Tuffte’s many books on the topic).

Red Giant sells a remarkable data animation system but even it is based on misplaced information display paradigms. the animations are slick and elegant; the information communication/junk and noise ratio is questionable.

Designing information graphics for video is as easy or as difficult as you want it to be. You can throw money at the chore and purchase automated solutions or you can devote the same energy and expertise to creating them as you do the rest of your video content.

    Hi David!
Thank’s for Your reply, and I can see that this AE plugin really gives a lot of feature, but we need something more workflow based, where numbers just are written, and then (as automatically as possible) the graphs are made for TV with some pre-defined graphs/fonts
