Editing issues in Canvas window
In editing a ten minute video I’ve come across an issue that is hopefully is a quick fix, but I haven’t been able to figure it out so I’m hoping someone can help from Creative Cow.
I posted a question a couple days ago because after finishing the editing I was attempting to export the sequence and burn it on a DVD. I tried exporting in two different ways (Quicktime and Compressor). However, when I attempted to import either one into DVD Studio Pro it was reading it as a PAL format and unable to import. Nothing in my Final Cut settings had anything to do with PAL. Everything was set for NTSC. I couldn’t find any PAL reference in my quicktime file.
It started me thinking that earlier when I was editing, I must of hit something I shouldn’t have. Midway through editing, my Canvas viewer was showing my clips (sequence video) as a small box of video in the window… 29%. I clicked on “Fit to Window”, but it remained small. When I clicked on 50% it didn’t fit the window and 100% was big and distorted. I went into the wireframe and pulled the video out but it didn’t quite fit the window (the sides remained black). This must be why it’s reading more of a PAL format rather than NTSC, because I’ve never had this problem before.
This there a quick fix to get the Sequence video to fit properly in the Canvas window? I’ve tried everything I can think of and scanned through several Final Cut books trying to figure it out. I don’t want to start all over again if I can fix my original sequence.
Thanks so much for any help!
