  Keyframing Hi-Res stills

  Hello,
  I am keying framing movements on some Hi-res Stills. Unfortunately, the movement results in some distortion in detailed areas of the pictures.
  For example, a there is a tree in the background against a cloudy sky and there are all these lines that appear through the tree.

  How can I get rid of this?

  Hi,

  Put a small blur on your still, and that should help. A Flicker Fixer will probably do you. Also, check that your render settings are set correcly in Sequence Settings (Cmd-0). See if turning the Motion Filter Quality to Best helps.

  Another thing is to ask yourself whether you need such a big still. If you’re not keyframing your scale to 100% on a particular still, you can happily use a smaller version. Simply scale it down a bit in Photoshop prior to importing in to FCP.
