    Hi,

At my internship I edited a video that is in the PAL format. It is ready to be exported for the web and I was wondering if there is anything I should do differently during compression than I would for NTSC video.

For NTSC I normally export a progressive video at 30fps with a resolution of 320X240 or 640X480. Are these OK for PAL?

Also, my supervisor wants it exported as 320X480. Is that right? It sounds weird to me, but maybe it’s because is PAL.

    Thanks for your help.

The only difference is frame rate and pixel resolution. PAL is 720 x 576 @ 25 frames per sec. Scale accordingly at that frame rate. Done

Those sizes are correct the same for NTSC than for PAL when you go 4×3 in square pixels.

    No sense.

    Don’t forget to de-interlace.
