December 16, 2008 at 4:12 pmYou can not capture HDV via firewire to the DVCPro HD codec.
You will need an HD capture card and capture via HMDI or component.

December 16, 2008 at 4:46 pmthanks, someone asked….we would normally go HD SDI out of a 1500, to the codec, but someone specifically asked about firewire…they can always convert in compressor…but our FCPs at work all have capture cards, either Kona or BlackMagic…
