    Greetings,

I teach a film making lab in HS and offer FCP 6 as our main editing software. We have a server that students log into, and consequently they save all their work to their local computers in a partitioned hard drive. About nine students could not open FCP at log in and it would quit. My I.T. person who is a PC guy told me that the solution was to dump the P lists EVERY TIME which erased all the preferences and was a pain in the neck. Additionally, I was given printed out testimonies including something from Apple that said this was a viable option. My question is “Is dumping the P List so that FCP 6 can start a viable solution for it not starting up?” Thanks

Where’s the students’ home, on the server? It needs to be localized to the machine.

    All the best,

    Tom
