How to edit all those framerates in FCP
Hello everybody,
Here the problem:
I have all those differents tapes (from different projects) and I need to capture everything and to make one project with all this footage
-30 miniDV tapes shot in HDV 1080p24 (23,98) 16:9
camera: Sony V1U
-20 miniDV tapes shot in HDV 1080i60 (29,97) 16:9
camera: Sony Z1-4 miniDV tapes shot in DV 24PA (progressive advanced)16:9
camera: Panasonic HVX200
-2 miniDV tapes shot in DV 24PA (progressive advanced) 4:3 caméra Panasonic HVX200The final project should be for TV, and maybe for some theatres also.
I will work on it with final cut pro 6.0.5 on mac

1/What framerate settings would you recommend me in this situation?2/Do I need to convert some of the footage (to have all the footage at 23.98 or 29.97)
I heard about DVfilm maker or magic bullet, is that a good option?
or the new “open timeline” in FCP6 can handle the editing of all those differents formats and framerates without any issues at the end of the editing?
Thanks a lot for your help. I hope my post is clear enough, Im sorry for the bad english speaking Im not native speaker.
Best regards.
Paul
