  • Connecting HDCAM HDW-1800 to rack.

I know this isn’t the right forum to post this, but I wasn’t sure where else to put it. I’m trying to connect an HDW-1800 HDCAM to my rack (black magic). I’ve never really done this before and when I connect it they way I think it should go, I get the error message in the FCP capture window, “not Threaded”, which basically tells me I hooked it up wrong. Can anyone help me, I know it’s a pain in the butt. Here is a list of wires, which thank God were labeled by the person before me: 3/4 #2 (a scuzzy cable), SDI OUT, SDI IN, Ref, TC out, TC in (i thnk I got these two), CV out, CV IN. The rest of the cables have XLR connects to them and are labeled, IN 1, IN 2, OUT 1, OUT 2. I know this could be confusing to describe, but I appreciate any help I can get.

    [Joel Kotlowitz] “”not Threaded””

that usually means there is no tape in the deck.

there is definitely a tape in the deck, I just didn’t put the wires in the right spot and that is what I am trying to figure out. Thanks.
