  Hi Everybody, I’m shooting a tv report with HVX200@1080 25p. I know with “Log and Transfer” you can’t transcode your footage in ProRes422 HQ, but only DVCPROHD. Can you suggest me the best way to edit my sequence in ProRes422 HQ?

  I have to edit all and then converting to ProRes422 HQ? I have to export an XML and reconverting only the edits in timeline?

  Hi Michelle,

  Just change your compressor to ProRes when you are done editing, and render. I doubt the result will look better, but at least a ProRes movie can be exported out as QT, without additional rendering.

  I’m finishing up an exact same type of project this week, but it looks so good in DVCPRO HD I plan on leaving it at that.

  Thank you Chris. I was wondering if it was better to convert the timeline in ProRes422 to make color grading in Color, managing ProRes422 footages…
