    riddle me this:
why does DVCProHD 720p24 render in 720p60 under the default easy setup?
any thing to do with the square pixel recording with rectangular pixel display (ie. 960×720 timeline vs. 1280×720 display?)
    thx, D. Szoke

[Donna Szoke] “why does DVCProHD 720p24 render in 720p60 under the default easy setup?”

It doesn’t. The sequence is 23.98 so it renders at 23.98. Video output from a Kona or Decklink plays it back at 59.94 because 720p24 isn’t a real broadcast standard. HD-SDI can’t even transmit that format.
