You would put color bars and a countdown and slate on your timeline and export the whole shebang. There are countdowns on just about any stock footage place. Apple used to put one on the installer disc way back around FCP 3, don’t know if those are still around or not.

    Have a wonderful day.

Yes, thanks, But I am trying to add color bars and tones and the countdown clock you usually get from using the edit to tape feature…

Is this possible with the QT export?

You will find color bars and the text option under the Generator pull-down menu at the bottom right side of the Viewer window. Just edit the bars & tone right into your timeline, add a slate and a countdown and export the entire sequence in whatever format the station requires. Generally change the tone on the color bars to -20db as well.
Apple was still including an academy leader on the install disks in (I believe) an extras folder on disk one. Not sure of the location, but it’s on there somewhere.
