  Ripping DVD (uncopyrighted) to Full Quality File for PC viewing? HOW?

  What program can I use to rip a DVD of NTSC content that was recorded on air?

  I want to keep it as clean and clear of a picture as possible. I don’t want any artifacts from anything (ex, no interlacing artifacts, etc).

  Please help me out.

  MPEG Streamclip will do a good job if there isn’t a copy protection on the DVD.

  Funny, but there are very few people who ask for a DVD ripper that makes files that are dirty and unclear and that add artifacts.

  Is there much of a difference between using a ripping program vs running RCA cables from a DVD player into a firewire capture (like through my camera) and capturing the “live feed?”
